If you are touring the South West of England, why not make Westbury your base camp!

Wiltshires best known White Horse looks down on the market town of Westbury, one of the many settlements around Salisbury Plain which owes its past prosperity to the Medieval Woollen Industry.

There has been a Horse cut on the slopes above Westbury for centuries, with the present figure having been cut in 1778.

Westburys All Saints Church has one of the world's heaviest peals of eight bells, while the towns indoor swimming baths are sometimes referred to as the oldest still in use!  (they have been refurbished, of course!)
