INSPECTORS OBSERVATIONS

GENERAL SUMMARY

Glenmore Farm provided a very clean and friendly style of accomodation set within a relaxing environment.  Houskeeping scored to excellent standards and was very much a strength of this visit.  Hospitality and friendliness, together with service and efficiency, were all displayed to very good levels and appear to flow naturally from both Mr and Mrs Painter.  The bedrooms are very well decorated and furnished and include comfortable beds and bedding.  The bathrooms, while not large, are nevertheless of similar quality.  All public areas are well maintained.  Food quality at breakfast also scored highly.  Overall, a rating at Level Four is achieved under the new Quality Standards.

CLEANLINESS

Houskeeping scored to excellent levels throughout the establishment at this visit.   Bedrooms displayed totally dust free surfaces incliding edges of carpets, window sills and skirting boards.  Public areas provided similarly high standards, while bathrooms and showers displayed the gleam and sparkle sought for at the highest level of cleanliness.

HOSPITALITY

Hospitality and friendliness scored to very good standards during the course of this visit.  A friendly welcome was received at arrival and a relaxed atmosphere created.   The offer of tea and scones in the conservatory was much appreciated.  Mr and Mrs Painter both appear to have a naturally friendly and hospitable approach and enjoy spending time with their guests.

SERVICE

Standards of service and efficiency were displayed to very good levels on this occaision.  Arival procedures include being shown to the bedroom and information provided concerning breakfast times.  Recommendations were also made for local dining establishments.  Service at breakfast and checkout the following morning was handled in a friendly and efficient manner.

FOOD QUALITY

Food quality at breakfast scored to a very good standard.  A range of cereals were available in addition to fresh fruit and grapefruit segments.  A good supply of coffee, toast and pleasant orange juice was also provided.  The cooked breakfast of egg, bacon, sausages and mushrooms was well presented and appetising.

BEDROOMS

Bedrooms provide very good levels of space and comfort, and are decorated to high standards.  The furniture and fittings are of good quality, including the comfortable beds and bedding.  The rooms have a bright and pleasant feel and provide an excellent range of extra facilities.

BATHROOMS

The bathrooms are well decorated and maintained and while not over spacious, generally achieve good levels of comfort and ease of use.  The fixtures and fittings are of good quality including the showers which provide appropriate pressure and temperature control.  Towels and toiletries score to very good levels.

PUBLIC AREAS

The dining room provides very good levels of space and comfort and is well decorated and furnished.  The lounge and conservatory offer additional relaxing environments and are comfortable equipped.  All public areas are well maintained and externally the building appears to be in a good state of repair.  The establishment displays appropriate signs and is well lit at night.
